The City of Wolverhampton Council’s Customer Services Team will be holding a series of digital support sessions to help parents and carers complete applications for reception class places.

It is important that applications for pupils who are due to start reception next September are submitted before the deadline of 15 January, 2024.

To apply for a reception place, parents should log on to School admissions and complete the short application process.

Anyone who needs help in applying is invited to attend one of the School Application Surgeries at the Civic Centre, St Peter's Square, Wolverhampton WV1 1SH between 10am and 2pm on Thursdays 14 and 21 December or Thursdays 4 and 11 January, 2024.

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Work, said: “If your child is due to start in reception in September 2024, you should now be making your application for a school place for them.

"If you need any help and support to do so, please come along to one of the School Application Surgeries over the next few weeks. We will be offering digital support advice, scanning services and information to help you."

Applying online has a range of benefits. Applications are made through a secure website and can be viewed and edited online up to the closing date for applications (15 January, 2024).

Applicants will also be able to access their child's school allocation online on 1 March, 2024 rather than having to wait for the post.
