Seeds were sown by members of the Royal British Legion and the Friends of Woodlands Walk in Penn earlier this year.

And the poppies are now in full bloom, paying a moving tribute to "all who gave their lives in the First World War and all other wars".

Gary Price, Wolverhampton City Council's Parks Development Officer, said: "The seeds were sown in March and they have produced a really nice display which makes a fitting tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in conflict over the years."

The Friends of Woodlands Walk are seeking new members to help support future activities at Woodlands Walk - anyone interested in finding out more should contact Steve Poole on 01902 572470.
