Clued Up takes place at the Bob Jones Community Hub in Blakenhall on Monday 19 September, 2016, and is open to people with a learning or physical disability, their families and carers, as well as providers.
Visitors will be able to hear about the development of new services for people with a disability, including supported living accommodation which enables them to live more independently.
There will also be workshops and information stands on a wide range of subjects, speak to representatives from local organisations including the council and the Carer Support Team.
The Welfare Rights Team will be on hand to help ensure people are able to claim the benefits they are entitled to, and there will be guided tours of Wolverhampton Information Network, Type=articles;Articleid=6575;Title=WIN;, which showcases health and social care support available locally.
Councillor Sandra Samuels OBE, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: "As a council, we are committed to supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities, and I would encourage them, their family and carers to find out more about help and support available to them by coming along on 19 September.
"This will be the third of our popular Clued Up information sharing events and they are providing very useful to people with a disability or mental health need and their families and carers."
