Would you like to be part of a dedicated, exciting team here at Warstones, committed to providing our children with the best educational provision they deserve?

We are looking for an inspirational, positive, and inclusive teacher to lead our Key Stage 1. The position would initially be as a Year 2 Teacher with appropriate management time out of class. Our Key Stage 1 consists of Years 1 and 2, both being 2 form-entry year groups.

We would value a colleague who:

  • holds children at the heart of all they do
  • can provide high quality teaching with a good knowledge of assessment for learning, using a variety of teaching strategies to support children effectively across the key stage
  • is keen to develop their own professional development and strive to continuously improve their practice through research-led approaches
  • communicates well with the skills and confidence to work with all stakeholders, both internally and externally

If this is you, come and see if we meet your requirements!

We are a two-form entry school, graded Good at Ofsted (March 2022), with outstanding Early Years, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management. We have a caring, family ethos with a strong drive to continue to build on our good practice to raise school improvement, expectations, and standards for all children.

If you would like to come and see us or have an informal conversation, please phone our School Office on 01902 558787 or send an email to warstonesprimaryschool@wolverhampton.gov.uk and we will be pleased to arrange this for you.

If shortlisted, we will come to see candidates teach in their own school, followed by an interview at Warstones, during the week commencing Monday 20 May, 2024.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
