Flyposting is the unauthorised placing of advertising - usually posters or stickers.

Flyposting is illegal, which spoils both public and private property and can be very costly to remove.

The Council is responsible for reducing and controlling flyposting in the city through education and enforcement.

As a Council, we have a priority to keep the city clean and we will remove flyposting wherever we can.

If flyposting is on private property, we will need to get permission from the owner to be able to remove it for a reasonable charge.

Penalties

If you are caught flyposting we, or the police, can issue a Fixed Penalty Notice of £50 for each individual displayed item.
