Eve Griffiths

My name is Eve Griffiths. I coordinate the team that make up the Wolverhampton Outreach Service. I have taught in Special School settings for just over 20 years, working with children with a range of complex learning, communication and SEMH needs.

I have taught from Key Stage 1 through to 6th form, but have spent the most time as subject leader for English in Key Stages 3 and 4. I am a qualified SENDCo and have an M.Ed and PhD in SEND and Inclusion. 

Alison Egerton

My name is Alison Egerton and I am coordinator of the team based at Broadmeadow special school.

I have 14 years of experience in special education and my specialisms include autism, communication and interaction difficulties, early years and attachment.

Kate Rogers

I’m Kate Rogers and I am the coordinator of the team based at Penn Hall School. I have been a qualified teacher for 12 years and started my career in mainstream. My passion has always been to work with pupils who have additional needs, so I soon qualified as a SENCO and took on this before making the move into special education. I have taught pupils from ages 5- 19.

I specialise in supporting pupils with physical and sensory needs and I have knowledge on a range of different resources and equipment to support access. I have experience of additional needs from both a teaching and parenting perspective, and feel this gives me a unique empathy and understanding of SEND.

Jo Hickson

My name is Jo Hickson and I am the Co-ordinator of the team based at Tettenhall Wood School.  I am a qualified secondary school teacher and have taught in special schools for the past 11 years and worked in primary schools for 9 years before that.

I am licenced by the National Autistic Society to deliver the Teen life parent programme and have recently undertaken training to become a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Coach. Within my role I use my experience, autism and SEMH specialism to support mainstream schools to understand their pupils’ needs and to find ways of overcoming the barriers they face at school.

Within Tettenhall Wood School I have introduced the Duke of Edinburgh Award to a number of pupils which will enable them to gain an industry recognised award for completing personal challenges.

Angela Gallagher

My name is Angela Gallagher and I am part of the Outreach Team based at Tettenhall Wood School. I have worked at Tettenhall Wood for over 20 Years and worked within a range of age groups. 

I have gained training in a variety of areas whilst working at school. These have included Sensory Processing Difficulties and Communication and Interaction. I have a specialised knowledge within the world of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

I have had an active role in supporting pupils within our own school and other mainstream settings in using and implementing AAC into their everyday lives. 

Adam Millichip

My name is Adam Millichip and I joined the Wolverhampton Outreach Team in September 2020. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have taught in special schools for the past 9 years. Throughout my teaching career I have had the opportunity to develop my knowledge through a range of courses and training to enhance my professional skills.

I take a keen interest in sport and PE and I am passionate about ensuring all children have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports to improve their physical, social and mental well-being.

My area of expertise is around autism, use of communication and PE. I am licenced by the National Autistic Society to deliver the Teen life parent programme and I am currently undertaking training to become a qualified Makaton tutor.

Amanda Moran

I’m Amanda Moran. I have been teaching at Penn Fields for 20 years, throughout the key stages and I am PSHE coordinator. For the last 12 years I have worked within Outreach advising and training in both primary and secondary settings.

My main interest is promoting the mental health of pupils by working with staff to develop student confidence, resilience and self-worth. I see teacher-pupil relationships as an integral role in enhancing the wellbeing of students.

Through utilising therapies, interventions and providing a nurturing environment, my aim is to help teachers provide students with the tools they need to grow with strength and confidence. 

Helen Moore

My name is Helen Moore and I have worked at Tettenhall Wood School for 23 years. As such, I have a vast experience of working with young people who have autism, learning difficulties, sensory needs, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.

My lead specialisms are autism, social stories and communication.

Manda Taylor

My name is Manda Taylor. I have 34 years experience in special needs education and 2 years as part of the outreach team.

I am based at Broadmeadow Special School.

My interests and expertise include attachment difficulties, positive behaviour management and autism.

Nigel Boot

My name is Nigel Boot and I work as an Outreach teacher based at Tettenhall Wood School where I am licenced by the National Autistic Society to deliver the Teen life parent programme.

I have been teaching pupils with special needs for over twenty years in Birmingham, Shrewsbury and now Wolverhampton.

I enjoy working with mainstream schools and providing them with strategies to support their students with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Jade Calleja-Reader

Hi, I’m Jade Calleja-Reader. I have worked at Tettenhall Wood School for just over 13years. I am part of the Outreach team and I am also Sensory Integration coordinator. I am licenced by the National Autistic Society to deliver the Early Bird Plus Programme for Parents.

10 years ago I qualified as an Intensive Interaction Practitioner and trainer. I support pre-verbal pupils and provide training to other professionals as well as parents. Within my role I use my experience of autism and SEMH to support mainstream schools to understand their pupils’ needs and to find ways of overcoming the barriers they face at school.

I support pupils with sensory needs and work alongside Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to ensure all pupil’s needs are supported.'

Sarah Jacks

My name is Sarah Jacks and I am a member of the Outreach Team based at Broad Meadow Special School.

I have 18 years experience in special education and my specialisms include Early Years, Autism and SEMH.

Georgina Lawley

My name is Georgina Lawley and I am part of the outreach team based at Penn hall school. I started my career working with Youth Inclusion and Young offenders’ projects before moving to a mainstream secondary school where I worked for 12 years as a Behaviour Mentor.

I have also worked in a variety of pupil referral units and specialist SEMH schools.  I have been working at Penn Hall for the last 5 years and joined the outreach team 3 years ago. My areas of specialism include SEMH, physical disability and sensory processing needs. 

Rachael Harper

I’m Rachael Harper and I am a member of the Outreach Service based at Penn Hall School. I have worked at Penn Hall for over 20 years where I have gained a vast amount of experience working with children and young people aged 3-16 with special educational needs and disabilities.

My specialism is in supporting pupils with physical and sensory needs, adapting the learning environment to ensure the individual needs of the child are met and to help children and young people achieve their personal best.

Bethany Noakes

My name is Bethany Noakes and I am part of the outreach team based at Penn Hall School. I have worked at Penn Hall for the last 9 years and I am currently studying a degree in ‘Working with children and young people with SEND’ at Derby University graduating in 2022.

I have always had the passion to work with children with additional needs after growing up with family with sensory and communication needs. I have built up my knowledge in the last 9 years and specialise in working with children with physical, sensory and communication needs. I have a good understanding and knowledge of resources that can be used to support individuals and ensure all their needs are being met. My aim is to work together with other professionals to make sure children achieve and reach the best they can be.
