Pay a Sundry Debt Invoice

If you owe the council money for a service other than council tax or non-domestic rates, such as trade refuse, this is called a sundry debt. You can pay this in a number of ways.

You can now pay your sundry debt invoice through My Account which gives you access to a range of Council services - get started by registering for an account here and pay your invoice. You will need your 8-digit reference number shown on your invoice.

Paying online is quick and easy. Payments are protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We accept most major credit and debit cards.

Other ways to pay

Direct debit

Direct debit is the easiest way to pay Sundry Debtor invoices. You can set up a direct debit by calling 01902 554518.

By phone

You can make a payment using the council's 24 hour automated payment Freephone line.

We accept most major credit and debit cards and you will need your 8-digit reference number shown on your bill.

Telephone banking

Alternatively, you can ring your own bank and ask them to make the payment to the following council bank account:

By post

You can send a cheque/postal order made payable to City of Wolverhampton Council by post:

In person

You can pay in person by using the Express Payment Point in the Civic Centre during opening hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday: 8.30am to 4.30pm

Customer payment card

You can pay free of charge at any PayPoint or Post Office, providing you have a customer payment card which contains your unique Sundry Debtors invoice account number. Simply hand your payment card and payment to the cashier and they will process the payment.
