Sundry debt invoices

If you owe the council money for a service other than council tax or non-domestic rates, such as trade refuse, this is called a sundry debt. You can pay this in a number of ways.

Direct debit

Direct debit is the easiest way to pay Sundry Debtor invoices. You can set up a direct debit by calling 01902 554518.

Paying online is quick and easy. Payments are protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. You will need your 8-digit reference number shown on your invoice.

We accept most major credit and debit cards.

By phone

You can make a payment using the council's 24 hour automated payment Freephone line.

We accept any of the cards listed above and you will need your 8-digit reference number shown on your bill.

Telephone banking

Alternatively, you can ring your own bank and ask them to make the payment to the following council bank account:

  • Sort Code: 56-00-69

By post

You can send a cheque/postal order made payable to Wolverhampton City Council by post:

Please write your name, address and account number on the back of the cheque/postal order.

In person

You can pay in person by using the Express Payment Point in the Civic Centre during opening hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday: 8.30am to 4.30pm

Customer payment card

You can pay free of charge at any PayPoint or Post Office, providing you have a customer payment card which contains your unique Sundry Debtors invoice account number. Simply hand your payment card and payment to the cashier and they will process the payment.
