Prospective learners can find out about the courses on offer from the Outstanding rated Adult Education Wolverhampton at an open day taking place later this month.

Whether people are looking to take a new direction, gain a new qualification, improve their existing skills or simply take up a new interest, there is a wide variety of subjects to choose from.

The open day takes place on Saturday 23 June and experts will be on hand to offer information, advice and guidance about the many options available, including courses which can help people train for a specific career or get on the fast track to university.

Other courses can help adult learners brush up on their English and maths skills or build their personal confidence, while there are also a wealth of art, craft and creative studies courses, too - and visitors to the open day will be able to take part in practical demonstrations, such as flower crafts.

Many courses lead to national qualifications, while others offer adults the chance to learn for pleasure. Many courses are free or available at a reduced rate, depending on the course and the learners' circumstances, and members of the Student Services team will be available to discuss fees and the financial help which may be available.

Councillor Lynne Moran, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: "Adult Education Wolverhampton offers a great range of high quality academic and informal courses. Enrolling on one is an excellent way to for people to develop new skills or simply learn for the pleasure of it.

"Adult Education Wolverhampton is only one of three adult education providers in the country to have been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted. Inspectors commended it for its exceptionally high achievement rates, high quality teaching, excellent resources, good levels of support and for making learning enjoyable, so there couldn't be a better time to enrol."

People can find out more about the courses available at Wolverhampton Adult Education Service's Open Day at the Foyer Building, Old Hall Street, Wolverhampton, on Saturday 23 June from 10am to 2pm.
