Councillor Phil Page has organised the event on 29 November as part of his efforts to collect as much money as possible during his year of office for his chosen good causes.

This year's Mayoral charities are Wolverhampton MS Therapy Centre, Kingswood Trust, Good Shepherd in Need and Inspire You.

The quiz is open to teams of up to 5 people. It will cost £10 per team member and the price includes a fish and chip supper.

The winning team will receive £200 to donate to a charity of their choice. There will also be a raffle.

Councillor Page said: "The quiz is open to everyone, I would love to see as many teams as possible join me on what promises to be a fun filled evening.

"For just £10 per person you get a fish and chip supper, as well as an entertaining evening and it is all for charities who do such vital work in our community."

The event, which starts at 7pm, will take place in City Suite at the Civic Centre and both the Mayor and Mayoress, Elaine Hadley-Howell, will be in attendance.

Due to anticipated popularity of this event, tickets are likely to go quickly. Call the Mayor's office on 01902 554090 or email mayoral@wolverhampton.gov.uk to reserve tickets or for more information.
