There's never been a better time to go to school in Wolverhampton.

The vision of the City of Wolverhampton Council and the Schools Standards Service is to create an education system in Wolverhampton that:

  • promotes the very highest standards for all children and young people
  • closes the attainment gap
  • and allows every pupil in Wolverhampton to reach their full potential

The Council celebrates an autonomous approach for schools to achieve these standards.

Educational Psychology Service

Wolverhampton Educational Psychology Service can provide support to children and young people aged between 0-25 years, their parents/carers and Wolverhampton education settings.

We aim to apply psychology through consultation with children, young people and other people who know them, in order to promote their wellbeing and support them to achieve in education. The service works with children and young people who have identified special educational needs as well as other children who may be experiencing barriers to their wellbeing or education. The service also completes assessments for children and young people going through the statutory Education Health and Care needs assessment process.
